Art has always been fascinated with masks. Cubists, Fauvists, Expressionists, and Abstractionists all owe inspiration to them. Across ancient cultures and history, the face has been bestowed with incredible importance and power. As the point of contact and medium of communication with others, faces and their artistic representations, whether human, animal or spirit, have been used to express cultural and spiritual beliefs, create identities and transform personalities.

In this Mask making workshop we will be channeling our inner river spirit by using found materials to create our own interpretations from nature.

Please join us at River Hawk Ranch for a morning of foraging and creating followed by a delicious brunch.
